Nonlinear Analysis Summer Workshop: AUGUST 4-8, 2014

Biomechanics Research Building located on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Omaha NE, USA
    General:
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce research scientists, clinicians and students to a variety of nonlinear methods for the analysis of biological time series data. Participants will learn how to use nonlinear methods to analyze real biological data. Instructors will use class discussions and hands on practice to facilitate understanding of the material covered in the lectures. This workshop is an introduction to nonlinear analysis methods; participants with varied backgrounds are welcomed. This is the sixth time we have offered this course and in the past has included participants from around the globe.

    Workshop Overview:
This is an intense FIVE day workshop to introduce nonlinear analysis and its applications in scientific and clinical research. A variety of nonlinear
methods such as Lyapunov Exponent, correlation dimension, fractal analysis, etc. will be introduced in this workshop. For details, please go to http://nbcf.unomaha.edu/nonlinear14.php.

    Participants:
The course is designed for researchers, clinicians, and graduate students who are interested in learning nonlinear methods and applying it to their research.

    Fee/Registration:
Class size is limited in order to ensure an effective learning experience for all participants. The course fee is $950 for professionals and $700 for graduate students (a letter from your advisor/mentor verifying that you are a graduate student in an academic program needs to be submitted to Ms. Fletcher). Payment must be made online via our website (http://nbcf.unomaha.edu/nonlinear14.php). Participants will receive an invoice after registration is accepted. Registration cost includes breakfast and lunch on the UNO campus each day of the workshop, and all PowerPoint slides presented. Additionally laptops with necessary software are provided during the course of the workshop.
