Dear Colleagues,
The IDETC 2014 is the premier international meeting in the fields of Design Engineering and Computers and Information in Engineering. This event is designed to showcase cutting edge research and accomplishments, and to enrich the educational experience in these fields. The purpose of this meeting is to advance the understanding of the base of knowledge that we will collectively draw upon in the years ahead to meet the challenges and realize opportunities.
In addition to the technical program a diverse array of activities await the attendees (and their families). One of the Seven Wonders of the World -- Niagara Falls with the spectacular views, thundering roar, delicate mists and shimmering rainbows -- is a short 20-minute drive from the conference venue. The main conference reception is being planned overlooking the Falls at Terrapin Point in Niagara Falls State Park.
Other attractions include the spectacular outdoors (hiking, biking, fishing, natural parks), wine-tours history (Old Fort Niagara & War of 1812), architecture (Frank Lloyd Wright houses, Olmstead parks), performing arts (Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Off-Broadway productions, Buffalo Philharmonic), major-league sports (Buffalo Bills, Sabres and Bisons) and 3 Vegas-style casinos all within the 20 minute drive from the conference venue. Paper Submission
Technical papers and presentations on various topics of engineering design are solicited for the conference. Please refer to the individual call for papers for each conference and contact the respective conference chairs for inquiries about the conference. The conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and tutorials on topics related to engineering design. Industry participation is particularly welcome; indeed, we hope the conference will provide opportunities for fruitful communication between the research and industrial communities.
Authors should submit an ABSTRACT and DRAFT PAPER through the IDETC/CIE 2014 website. For assistance with submitting your abstract online, please view the author help manual.
