Bridging Motor Control and Biomechanics: What can Advances in Sensor Technology Offer?

Delsys is pleased to announce the workshop “Bridging Motor Control and Biomechanics: What can Advances in Sensor Technology Offer?” at the WCB conference in Boston, MA (USA).

    Date, Time, and Venue
July 6th, 12:00-2:30 PM. Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02115, USA.

    Workshop Details
The workshop will present current advances in sensor technology for extending biomechanical investigations into new areas of investigation. The workshop will emphasize ways in which sensor technology can be used for biomechanical applications that require high signal fidelity during vigorous activities (sport/exercise), high precision and reliability (robotics/prosthetics), or that bridge the gap between Biomechanics and Motor Control (neural control). The format will include brief didactic presentations and demonstrations of the technology.

Prof. Carlo J. De Luca, Ph.D., Boston University and Delsys Inc. (USA)
Prof. Serge H. Roy, Sc.D., P.T., Boston University and Delsys Inc. (USA)
Prof. Paola Contessa, Ph.D., Boston University and Delsys Inc. (USA)
Shey-Sheen Chang, Ph.D., Delsys Inc. (USA)
Gianluca De Luca, M.S., Delsys Inc. (USA)

    Who should attend?
The workshop is designed for researchers interested in recording, analyzing and interpreting biological signals for biomechanical and/or motor control applications. Attendees of WCB 2014 curious about developments in the burgeoning field of sensor technology, and how such advances may extend the reach of biomechanical investigations are welcomed. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and discuss this field with experienced developers, innovators, and users of the technology.

    Registration Deadline and Fee
Registration is free but required at Deadline for registration is June 30th, 2014.
    Lunch will be provided.
