It is a pleasure to announce the 8th International Conference on Canine and Equine Locomotion (ICEL8) which will take place in London, UK from August 17th to 19th 2016.

The objective of the meeting is the promotion of knowledge and understanding in the multidisciplinary field of biomechanics applied to equine and canine health and performance based on scientific peer reviewed presentations (oral + poster) and keynote lectures.

The conference covers a diverse range of topics e.g.:
•measurement of gait and movement: techniques and applications
•novel instrumentation techniques
•musculoskeletal modelling
•treatment of and rehabilitation from locomotor system disorders
•farriery

Accepted abstracts will be published online in Equine Veterinary Journal and Journal of Small Animal Practice.
