  • ISEK 2016 - Call for symposia proposals

    Proposals for Symposia are now being accepted for the XXI ISEK Congress, which will be held in Chicago from July 5-8, 2016. Symposia are thematically organized sessions that will be held during the main portion of the conference. Each symposium will consist of 6 15-minute talks. Topics broadly related to the electrophysiology and kinesiology of movement control, or the following meeting themes will be considered.

    • Analysis of large data sets for physiology
    • EMG modeling and signal processing
    • Ergonomics
    • Motor performance and sports science
    • Motor units
    • Movement disorders and rehabilitation technologies
    • Multiscale and trans-scale approaches for movement and neurosciences
    • Muscle physiology
    • Neuromechanics
    • Neural Engineering
    • Sensorimotor control

    Proposals for symposia can be submitted to Conor Callam <>. The submission deadline is October 30th. Proposals should include a title, a short paragraph describing the intended theme, and a potential list of speakers. Decisions on submitted proposals will be returned by November 30th. Symposium leaders for accepted proposals will be required to submit an online form that includes the author, title, and abstract for each talk within the symposium.
