    11th Conference of the International Shoulder Group

    The International Shoulder Group is pleased to welcome you to its 11th biennial Conference, held in Winterthur, Switzerland, and organized by the IMES Institute for Mechanical Systems at the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

    Aim and Topics
    The congress provides a scientific knowledge-sharing platform among researchers, engineers, clinicians, physiotherapists and others. The industrial exhibition supports the interaction between industry, practice and research. Abstracts in a broad field of shoulder biomechanics and related areas are of interest. The congress comprises scientific sessions in the area of Rotator Cuff, Modelling, Ergonomics, Neurological, Rehabilitation, Clinical and Prosthetics, Population and Performance, Athletics, and Methods.     ISG
    The International Shoulder Group (ISG) is a collaboration of mostly biomechanically oriented research groups interested in the shoulder. The ISG aims to enhance shoulder research by creating a platform for discussion and the exchange of information, software and data.

    *The registration fee includes all sessions, welcoming reception, refreshment, lunches, conference dinner as well as the congress proceedings.

    The Biomechanical Engineering Group of the IMES Institute of Mechanical Systems welcomes you to the Technikum Winterthur, the place where Albert Einstein gave his very first lecture in May 1901 (in Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry).

    Following several requests, the abstract submission deadline for the 2016 meeting has been extended to Sunday 28th February, 12 pm, Central European Time CET.

      All ISG 2016 conference participants are invited to take part in the OpenSim workshop on Thursday July 14th from 13:30 - 18:00.

      The goal of the workshop is to introduce a newly developed shoulder model, and demonstrate how it can be used to investigate clinically relevant problems. It will feature an overview of the OpenSim software and hands-on team exercises. No prior OpenSim experience is required.
