Conference registration open for Dynamic Walking 2016, Ann Arbor, MI June 4 - 7

Early registration until May 6, 2016.

Conference rates are extremely low. Student early registration is $350 for meeting registration, rustic cabin housing, and all meals and activities. Space is limited. Meeting is expected to sell out, and early registrations are encouraged.

This year's Dynamic Walking conference will be held near University of Michigan at Camp Ohiyesa in Holly, Michigan. The venue is a YMCA camp about one hour from either Detroit Metro airport (DTW) or Ann Arbor. There is a large lodge for conference activities, overlooking an inland lake and wooded grounds. On-site lodging and meals will be rustic, and many outdoor activities will be available as diversions from the scientific program.

Dynamic Walking is an interdisciplinary conference on fundamental principles of dynamic legged locomotion, and more generally, dynamic mainpulation and behaviors, of humans, animals, and robots. The audience includes roboticists, biomechanists, neuroscientists, computer scientists, and others. Topics include mechanics and energetics, stability and control, optimization, planning, and conceptual modeling, tied to experimental demonstration or testing with robot hardware, rehabilitation or assistive exoskeletons or devices, and other empirical investigations.

The conference emphasizes interactive talks and posters with lively discussion. The format is a single track of oral presentations, mini-talks, and posters. Attendance is limited to approximately 170 people to maximize quality, exchange of ideas, and potential for future collaborations. Participation by graduate students is highly encouraged, and will be facilitated by reduced registration fees.

Call for Abstracts

The organizing committee requests submission of abstracts for participation. There will be a variety of talks and poster presentations, as well as live hardware demonstrations of robots, exoskeletons, and prosthetic devices. All participants are encouraged to present, typically with Peer-Reviewed submissions, but also with non-reviewed formats available.

I couldn't find the costs listed on the website except for a mention that they want to keep costs low. I understand that the fees may not be decided yet, but perhaps you could estimate when the fee schedule will be released?
