  • Invitation to AnyBody workshop in Lyon during ESB 2016

AnyBody workshop at ESB 2016 in Lyon
    - How can musculoskeletal modeling advance multi-scale human simulation?
The workshop is free, but seating is limited, so register now.

    Topic
Multi-scale models of human tissues and organs simulate their behavior under 'virtually recreated' in-vivo conditions. When the tissues of interest are bones, ligaments, cartilage etc., you could greatly benefit from using musculoskeletal models to compute the in-vivo muscle and joint contact forces, which sets the stage for further multi-scale simulations.

By the end of this workshop, you will have learned to create such a simulation pipeline, combining the strengths of musculoskeletal and multi-scale simulations. You will learn to use the AnyBody Modeling System to create personalized musculoskeletal models, and simulate simple daily motions even when motion capture data may be unavailable! You will gain hands-on experience of passing on the simulation results as boundary conditions for a finite element model. You will also get to see examples illustrating the range of applications, and the level of detail that musculoskeletal modeling helps you achieve.

    Logistics
This is a free workshop. Participants will receive a complimentary AnyBody Modeling System trial license to take home. The workshop venue is a quick 4 minute walk from the ESB 2016 venue. No prior experience in musculoskeletal modeling or finite element analysis is necessary! You only need to bring along your curiosity and a Windows laptop.

    When:
    10 July 2016 from 12 PM - 4 PM local time

    Where:
    Hotel Crowne Plaza Lyon
    Cite Internationale
    A. 22 Quai Charles De Gaulle - 69463
