Attention investigators in hand and wrist biomechanics. You are invited to submit abstracts to the 11th Symposium of Hand and Wrist Biomechanics International (HWBI 2017) which will take place from July 24-26, 2017 in Brisbane, Australia. Over the past 22 years, HWBI has held symposia in Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, Belgium, the USA, Italy, and Argentina (http://www.hwbi.org/symposium). HWBI 2017 will be held in conjunction with the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) Congress XXVI (http://www.biomech2017.com/).
For HWBI 2017, we welcome abstract submissions on topics including:
· Biomaterials and tissue engineering of soft and hard tissues in hand and wrist
· Carpal mechanics
· CMC joint arthritis
· Carpal tunnel
· Distal radioulnar joint
· Distal radius fracture
· Finger and thumb mechanics
· Hand therapy and rehabilitation
· Motor control and neuromechanics
Abstract submission is now open and will be handled by the ISB (http://www.biomech2017.com/call-for-abstracts.php). The submission deadline is January 13, 2017. At the time of submission, be sure to select the appropriate box to designate your abstract for HWBI 2017, either "Oral presentation for the Hand and Wrist Biomechanics International Working Group (HWBI)" OR "Poster presentation for the Hand and Wrist Biomechanics International Working Group (HWBI)".
