The iDAPT Centre for Rehabilitation Research, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute-UHN would like to invite you to submit abstracts for presentations at the Slips, Trips, and Falls International Conference 2017.
This Conference will provide a forum to discuss various aspects of fall prevention and protection in the community, healthcare settings, and workplace. Researchers, policy makers, technical experts and others around the world will present their latest work, products, and exchange research ideas.
Important dates
Abstract submission opens: December 12, 2016
Abstract submission due: February 17, 2017
Notification of decision: March 10, 2017
Abstracts will be accepted to be included in interdisciplinary panel sessions. These panel-type sessions will address various thematic topics, incorporating experience and knowledge of basic mechanisms through to application within industry, public health, and/or policy. Key themes to be addressed within a topical area can include, but are not limited to:
Panel sessions will typically consist of several individual presentations (~10 minutes each) followed by ~30 minute question and discussion period with all panelists. Each panel session is expected to last 1-1.5 hours in duration.
Participants can submit abstracts to be included inpanel sessions in one of two ways:
(1) Submit an abstract outlining your individualcontribution to a specific topical area. This could include basic researchthrough to industry application, public health application, and/or policy,addressing a key theme identified above. Accepted abstracts will be grouped andassigned to a panel session by the abstract committee, based on topical areas.
(2) Submit an abstract outlining a full panel session youpropose to deliver on a topical area. Please include all participant names,content, and key themes that will be covered within the panel session
