  • MICCAI Computational Biomechanics for Medicine workshop submission deadline June 16

    Dear colleagues

The MICCAI Computational Biomechanics for Medicine workshop submission deadline has been extended to June 16.

The Computational Biomechanics for Medicine XII workshop will be run as a satellite event at this year’s MICCAI conference in Quebec City. Keynote speakers include Sid Fels <www.ece.ubc.ca/faculty/sid-fels> and David Hawkes <cmic.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/dave_hawkes>.

The main goal of this workshop is to showcase the clinical and scientific utility of computational biomechanics in computer-integrated medicine. The Computational Biomechanics for Medicine workshops provide an opportunity for researchers to present and exchange ideas on applying their integrative computer modelling techniques to computer-integrated medicine.

This year’s workshop will be held September 14. Submissions should be sent to Prof. Poul Nielsen <p.nielsen@auckland.ac.nz> by 2017 June 16. Submission instructions and templates are available at <http://cbm.mech.uwa.edu.au/CBM2017/submission.html>. All submissions are peer reviewed, with notification of acceptance July 14, and final versions of accepted papers due August 4. Papers accepted for the workshop will be published in both hardback and electronic book by Springer. Links to books resulting from previous workshops are available at <http://cbm.mech.uwa.edu.au>.

Please pass this message on to anyone who you feel might be interested in participating in the Computational Biomechanics for Medicine XII workshop.

    Best wishes
Poul Nielsen, Adam Wittek, Karol Miller, Barry Doyle, Grand Joldes, and Martyn Nash
