EuroHaptics 2020: Call for Workshops and Mini-Symposia
We cordially invite you to submit proposals for Workshops and Mini-Symposia to the EuroHaptics 2020 program committee.
A workshop will take place the day before the start of the conference. The main theme of this day will be “accessibility”. Workshops offer an informal environment for attendees with common interests and diverse perspectives to engage in rich discussions around specific areas of research and practice. Topics that workshops address could be related to all aspects of haptics, including for instance basic research, applied research, new methodologies, theoretical analyses, emerging application areas and education. Given the theme of the day, we encourage proposals of symposia that are linked to the theme accessibility. We have a preference for half -day workshops, but a full day workshop may be a possibility too.
A mini-symposium will take a time slot of a regular talk session during the conference and consists of a collection of presentations that are focused on a specific topic. Collaboration between scientists from different organizations is encouraged. The deadline for submitting symposia is earlier than the submission deadline of papers, so that upon possible rejection the talks can still be submitted as a paper.

EuroHaptics 2020 will take place from June 18th till June 20th, 2020 in Leiden, The Netherlands. EuroHaptics is a major international conference touching upon all aspects of haptics: fundamental experimental findings, technological developments, algorithms, applications and more. EuroHaptics provides researchers from academia and industry with an opportunity to present their scientific discoveries and innovative products and establish contacts with other haptics researchers from around the world.
The general theme of EuroHaptics 2020 is accessibility. The conference and proceedings will be accessible for everyone. Moreover, the proceedings will be published open access by Springer. The scientific program will contain workshops, four keynote speakers, mini-symposia, individual talks, posters and demo’s. We are very happy to announce already two confirmed keynote speakers: Sile O’Mohdrain (on the workshop day) and Monica Gori. Additionally, there will be an extensive social program with diners, sightseeing and a lot of fun.
Leiden is ideally located within a short travelling distance of Netherlands’ major cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht. The city can also be reached easily by international visitors, with Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam – The Hague Airport 20 minutes away.

EuroHaptics is a major international conference touching upon all aspects of haptics: fundamental experimental findings, technological developments, algorithms, applications and more. EuroHaptics provides researchers from academia and industry with an opportunity to present their scientific discoveries and innovative products and establish contacts with other haptics researchers from around the world.
