Dear Biomechanics Community
Dynamic Walking 2020 conference will be held in the Pocono mountains this May.
We anticipate the availability of as small number of travel grants to support attendance at Dynamic Walking. The primary goal of these grants is to broaden participation in the conference, both in terms of the diversity of the attendees and in terms of the ongoing formal and informal discourse. To this end, we are soliciting applications for travel grants to the conference, with an emphasis on increasing participation from groups historically underrepresented in science and engineering (e.g. underrepresented minorities, women, and persons with disabilities) as well as researchers who have not previously had the opportunity to attend.
Students, postdoctoral researchers, and junior faculty are encouraged to apply. Note that due to funding restrictions, awards are currently restricted to US-based researchers. Specific details on the number and value of awards will be announced soon, but we hope to cover the full cost of attendence.
Applications are due at the same time as conference abstract submissions and will be reviewed by a committee. To apply, submit both the standard abstract submission and the travel grant application.
