  • Webinar: Is HBM ready to be used for (real-time) gait analysis in clinical practice?

Update on Motek’s real-time musculo-skeletal Human Body Model by our partners at the Amsterdam University Medical Center location VUmc

Join us on the 14th of July at 3 PM (GMT+2) to hear our guest speakers from Amsterdam UMC’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine explain a comparison of HBM with conventional gait models and form a critical perspective on ‘how normal’ normative gait data really is.

In this webinar, we will discuss how HBM can be used for (real-time) clinical gait analysis. We will focus on two aspects:

First, Eline Flux will present the comparison of HBM kinematics with other frequently used models and the pros and cons of different models.

Second, Laura Oudenhoven will present how we developed a normative pediatric database, which has been shared open-access for clinical centers using HBM. She will discuss how to handle different aspects when using this reference database, like treadmill versus overground walking, the effect of different walking speeds, and stride-to-stride variability.
