    Dear All,

As communicated last week, the XVIII ISB Congress in 2021 in Stockholm, Sweden will be a fully digital event. This will hopefully open up possibilities for more people to submit abstracts seeing that travel restrictions are no longer an obstacle for participating in the congress. In light of this, we have decided to re-open the abstract submission process with a new deadline in a month (8th March).

Abstract submission has therefore reopened here: https://isb2021.com/submission/

We are looking forward to receiving your excellent scientific work for presentation at ISB2021!

    Best Regards,

    Toni

I am sure that this was the best decision for the moment. It will also help to increase the representatively of people from all over the world, which would not be able to travel due to the sanitary conditons. The congress will be great!

    Dear All,

The ISB2021 Organising Committee yesterday made the difficult, yet not unexpected decision that the XXVIII ISB Congress in Stockholm will not be able to be held physically due to the international Covid-19 situation. All indications are pointing towards such a large international meeting in Stockholm in July being impossible.

Of course this decision was painful to make as we were so much looking forward to welcoming you all in our beautiful city. However, we feel it is important to let people know in time so that no unnecessary plans are made and no false expectations are encouraged. The organizing committee in collaboration with ISB will now need to revisit many of the organizational aspects of the congress such as congress duration and times, session organization, digital platform and administration, presentation format and most importantly for all of you the adapted registration fees. We are working on this intensely and will be able to provide more information in the next month.

As indicated from the start, anyone who has already paid a full registration fee will be reimbursed the difference for the digital fee to be decided.

The excellent abstract submission number and the unwavering enthusiasm many of you have expressed make us confident that we will all together make this a great digital success!

    Take care,

    Toni
