Biomechanists apply human movement analysis to analyse sports performance and evaluate pathologic movement patterns. But when you are working with a biological system, it is not as simple as working with a determined mechanical structure. Collecting and analysing human motion data could help describe the interaction between physiological subsystems and the surrounding environment. In this webinar, Yassaman Djafari, Associate member of the institution of mechanical engineering and PhD candidate of biomedical eng will investigate the role of data science in motion analysis and how the results can help physical therapists, patients, coaches, and athletes assess and monitor physical and neurological conditions.
