    It is our pleasure to invite you to the 40th annual conference of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports in Liverpool - the first time the conference has visited the UK. Liverpool is a wonderful small city, home to two cathedrals, the Beatles experience, a world-heritage waterfront, two football clubs, leading universities and more. The conference is hosted at by Liverpool John Moores University - a world-leading Sport & Exercise Science department, and the conference dinner will be in the Neo-Classical St George’s Hall.

    We have confirmed world-renowned speakers and will provide a diverse applied and social programme. We are also proud to support the 'Student Mentor Breakfast', 'Mothers Cafe' and a 'Women in Sports biomechanics' event.

    Registration includes all applied sessions, social activities and the conference dinner.

    The call for papers is in areas including: Athletics, paralympics, racquet sports, combat sports, water sports, injury, rehabilitation, cycling, football codes, strength & conditioning, muscle & tendon, modelling / simulation, equipment, imaging, wearable technology, education, motor control, teaching and learning, methods / statistics and coaching.

    Students - apply for the mentorship programme, meet new students at the student social event, request a travel grant and submit for the New Investigator Award.

    We would love to welcome you to Liverpool in July 2022.
