The workshop aims to bring interdisciplinary researchers together who are passionate about this research area and who want to establish and grow a sustainable network to work together to meet the challenges which will be explored during the workshop. The workshop will include lectures and presentations, networking and career development sessions, and a challenge prize. Through the workshop, we will identify challenges and establish a network of researchers from a range of backgrounds who are passionate about improving the access to and quality of therapeutic footwear for these people. Participants will be supported to work together on future projects which will have a global impact to reduce mortality and morbidity and improve the quality of life for people with diabetes.
Participants will be given the opportunity to create collaborations with other workshop participants and apply for a challenge prize to fund their proposed research idea.
