DEADLINE 8TH March!
After an enormous success of the previous editions, Movella (previous called Xsens), is happy to announce that the Biomechanics Challenge is organized once more. During this intense 2 weeks event students from different worldwide institutions will work on a biomechanics related case study.
For the 2023 edition, we have partnered up with the University of Trento. The topic of this year's case study will be winter sports and students will mostly be working on analyzing movement kinematics, dynamics and maybe some sport specific parameters.
This event is an excellent opportunity for your research group to get involved with inertial motion capture solutions, to have a deeper understanding of its application in a real use case and to have the chance to win a motion capture system for your lab or research group.
As a senior researcher you can get involved in the challenge by being a mentor of a team. For that you should form a team up to 4 students (preferably, masters and/or PhD students) and register the team via this link:

What are the prizes?
The Awinda starter is a full body motion capture system that can be used in any environment.
1st place: Awinda starter kit + 1 year of MVN Analyze Pro license.
2nd place: Awinda starter kit + half year of MVN Analyze Pro license.
3rd place: DOT kit
Additionally, the winning team will be awarded with a 5K development grant to promote the further development of their idea , in close collaboration with Movella and the University of Trento.
