26th-27th Sept 2024, Barcelona, Spain
We are pleased to announce a Workshop on Predictive Simulations of Human Movement that will take place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of September 2024 in Barcelona. The workshop is organized by a team of experts in physics-based simulation of movement from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain) and KU Leuven (Belgium). The workshop is free but participants will need to provide their own travel and accommodation.
The goals of this workshop are:
1. To give an introduction to physics-based prediction of human (and animal) movement, providing background on the optimal control framework and numerical methods (direct collocation, algorithmic differentiation, multi-objective optimization);
2. To provide an overview of the PredSim code, an open-source code building on OpenSim for predictive simulations of movement;
3. To share advanced applications of predictive simulations through seminars and tutorials (optional);
4. To provide expert guidance and discussion for your own project development.
