  • Dynamic Walking 2025 - Submissions Open

We're happy to share with you the details of Dynamic Walking 2025. Dynamic Walking is a single-track conference interested in legged locomotion of robots, human, and other animals. Our main topics for this year are: neuromechanics of locomotion/related tasks, energetics, stability, predictive principles and models, dynamic modelling, empirical data with a conceptual tie in, robot (legged, wearable, etc.) design and control, and negative/non results to spark a Dynamic Walking-style debate.

    The when: July 14th - 17th
The where: Aachen, Germany (bordering the Netherlands)

What to submit: a 1-minute video of what you would talk about at the conference (creativity encouraged)
    Submission deadline: 25th April
Notification of submission decision: around 9th May

    Website/submission portal: dynamicwalking2025.org
    How to contact: dynamicwalkingconf(at)gmail.com

We hope to see you there!

The abstract deadline has been extended to the 7th of May. That's 6 days from now!

We invite everybody to submit a 1-minute video abstract on what you would present at Dynamic Walking. You can, of course, present your research. But we also welcome non-traditional talks on legged robotics- maybe you want to talk future plans, discuss a contested theory, or have another idea for an invigorating talk. We strongly encourage everybody who wants to attend to submit an abstract. We're excited to hear what everyone has to share.

The submission portal is linked here.

    Cheers,
    The DW25 Organizing Team

      Deadline extended!
      Now calling for late-breaking abstracts!
      Submit here:https://forms.gle/9NuW3R8MnT4wQsj36
      Deadline:June 13, 2025

To submit a late-breaking abstract, please prepare a text abstract of up to 200 words. The abstracts should give a general idea of the content you plan to present at the conference. Creativity is always encouraged.

Relevant topics include: neuromechanics of locomotion/related tasks, energetics, stability, predictive principles and models, dynamic modeling, empirical data with a conceptual tie in, robot (legged, wearable, etc.) design and control, negative/non results to spark a Dynamic Walking-style debate

Less emphasis on: vision, navigation, motion planning, kinematic data, kinematic control, measurements that do not address a basic concept or principle.

Late-breaking abstracts, once accepted, will be presented as posters at the conference.

Note: The earlier, the better! There is a higher chance you will be able to register with the early-bird fee.
