ISB - Biomechanics in Practice Lecture Series
This four-lecture series is part of an international collaborative initiative between research groups from Federal University of Pampa (Unipampa) in Brazil and RMIT University in Australia. We are grateful to Dr. Oren Tirosh (RMIT Australia) for generously volunteering to deliver this series to students and early-career researchers under the coordination of Dr. Felipe Carpes (Unipampa Brasil) and the International Society of Biomechanics. The goal is to share foundational concepts in biomechanics while highlighting practical applications of research findings in clinical and performance contexts.
This activity is organized in connection with the Education and Student ISB portfolios and is promoted in partnership with the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB), and the ISB Affiliated Societies the Brazilian Society of Biomechanics (BSB) and the Chilean Society for Movement Sciences (ACCM). Through this initiative, we aim to foster global engagement, particularly encouraging participation from students in economically developing countries.
Each session will consist of a 30-minute lecture followed by a 15-minute interactive discussion. The lectures will be delivered fully online via Google Meet. Participation is free of charge.
