Dear members,
SpineFX is an Initial Training Network focused on providing training and research in the area of spinal biomechanics and medical engineering associated with vertebral fracture. At each quarter of the four-year project SpineFX produces a newsletter with updates about the project, developments in the field, and features on the researchers and beneficiaries in the partnership. SpineFX addresses the three most prevalent and costly causes of vertebral fracture; spinal metastasis, osteoporosis and spinal trauma. These themes will be delivered in a 'bench to bedside and beyond' approach through; basic research, oriented research and applied research.
The SpineFX project is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network, project number 238690, and is funded by the European Commission. As such it employs a number of Early Stage Researchers and Experienced Researchers who work with the industrial, clinical and academic partners to deliver the research.
The project members welcome the interest of the wider community and hope that the newsletter provides a useful insight.
