  • trunk deformities

Trunk deformities such as scoliosis are commonly estimated through measurements of Cobb angle. Nowadays non-invasive 3D optoelectronic systems, such as Formetric 3D, are widely used to estimate scoliosis, kyphosis or lordosis. We are searching for alternative ways and diagnostic parameters of computing trunk deformities which would not be only limited to scoliosis (Cobb angle), i.e. kyphosis or lordosis. Therefore, we would very much like to hear different opinions and experiences about it, which are perhaps worthy to further investigate.

We suppose that those potential new diagnostic parameters to be computed would be also closely related to the present options that 3D systems, such as Formetric, currently offer. In that sense we are also interested in new ways of 3D reconstruction, e.g. an integration of different types of sensors for 3D reconstruction. Therefore, we would be very interested to find out opinions and suggestions of Formetric 3D users (or similar 3D systems) in terms of what kind improvements/changes they would like to see.

    Thank you, Tomislav Pribanic
