  • Vicon BodyBuilder License Issue

I installed Vicon BodyBuilder on a new PC and am having problems getting it to recognize the USB license dongle (HASP). I first installed BB 3.6.138, and then updated it 3.6.141. Both versions return 'You are not currently licenced to run this product. Please connect a licenced key to you parallel port and try again.'

Vicon Workstation opens correctly with the same license key. The same key WILL open BB on a PC that previously had BB installed. A different key (that opens BB on another PC correctly) does not work on the new PC. The new OS is Windows 7 x64 and I though it might be a 64-bit issue (although unlikely), so I tried using VirtualPC on the PC with Windows XP x86 with no luck (the same error occurs).

So I must not being configuring something correctly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Vicon BodyBuilder License Issue

I had a similar problem in the past, although it was with one of the other programs and not BodyBuilder. You may have a problem with the HASP software. I would browse the FAQ and Download sections in the Support portion of Vicon's site to see if you can find this update or just email them at support@vicon.com.

I had the same problem and contacted Vicon about this. BodyBuilder doesn't work on Windows 7, it works fine with older versions of Windows. If this doesn't help, I would contact Vicon.

        Re: Vicon BodyBuilder License Issue

I received a newer version of BodyBuilder (3.6.1.58950) from Vicon Support that fixed whatever issue I was having.

          Re: Vicon BodyBuilder License Issue

We have found that newer versions of the Hasp driver do not install some key driver components that are required for Bodybuilder.
In your Vicon installation directory (normally C:\Program Files\Vicon) you should have a Hasp folder, in here run HDD32.exe (this is the original installation program for the Hasp drivers).
Proceed on to the Installation status page and verify that every driver component is actually installed with a version number. If any are absent, you will have to complete the installation with this driver package, then apply the recommended driver update from the Vicon support page (Version 4.102.5.22 from Jan 2006).
