    clinicalgaitanalysis.com provides "normative database"

The site http://www.clinicalgaitanalysis.com/ (also known as CGA) has plenty of data.

Mahsa, I have an Excel spreadsheet of some of the Winter data. It has the trunk, hip, knee, and ankle angles and the GRF. I can email it to you if it is helpful, let me know (rosshm@gmail.com).

    Dear Mahsa,

This is definitely a FAQ on Biomch-L so as moderator I want to make sure we have some good answers posted here. I happen to know of a few sources of data, some of which may be suitable for you.

The book "Biomechanics and Motor Control of Human Movement" by David Winter (Amazon link) has an appendix with 2D gait data from a normal, though somewhat small, subject (56.7 kg). There are printed tables with joint angles and joint moments, but perhaps more important for you, raw marker coordinates with velocities and accelerations.

Files containing the data for the 2nd edition of the book (which is likely the same data) are available from the ISB website at http://isbweb.org/data/. I just noticed that the ZIP file is missing some files. I happened to have the complete ZIP file, it is attached to this post. If someone has converted this data to other formats (Matlab, Excel, C3D,...), please let us know by posting a reply.

That same page on the ISB website also has other data files. There is a nice set of 3D gait data files that were originally distributed with Kit Vaughan's book.

I also know of an Excel file by Chris Kirtley which contains various gait variables (no raw data). The spreadsheet includes regression models that Chris developed to scale the data to different subject mass, subject height, and gait speed.

If anyone else knows of other online gait data resources, please post!

    Need Kinematic Gait Free Data

    Hi,

I am PhD student, I need some free data on 7 joints of the human lower limbs. I have attached a file for the joints which I need data (both accelerometer and gyroscope data in 3D).
Would you please help me? How could I access to such a data?
I want to produce the position, velocity and acceleration from them in order to use for gait analysis.

    Best,
    Mahsa
