  • Electronic Walkway

    Dear all,

    Our lab is looking for an electronic walkway by which we can measure gait parameters such as stride length etc. I found that GaitRite is most popular, and Tekscan has a system but relatively smaller than GaitRite. Does anyone know of any other products competitive to these? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kei,

    We use the GaitMat system made by E.Q., Inc., Chalfont, Pennsylvania, USA. We have four sections to get about 3 meters of temporal and spatial gait parameters including stride length, step length, breakdown of the gait cycle and average forward velocity. Another lab I know of uses 8 sections.
