  • Physical Therapy Faculty Position

    The department of Physical Therapy at Nazareth College is seeking applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position to begin in the fall of 2012. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience.

    Nazareth College offers a six-year DPT program, with modified problem-based learning as part of the curriculum and an emphasis on experiential learning. Embedded clinical experiences for students include evaluation and intervention with patients in our on-site Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal Clinics under faculty supervision and working with other groups in the community whose needs for physical therapy are underserved. Faculty provide a variety of professional, clinical, and research opportunities for students integrated with didactic content. Recent renovations to the department include a new 3D Movement Analysis Laboratory and additional clinic space including a home transition laboratory for inter-professional use.

    The department is seeking candidates with an earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc) who can work collaboratively with our team of current faculty. ABD candidates will be considered. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those candidates who have teaching, clinic practice, or research experience in the areas of orthotics/prosthetics or wound care. The candidates must be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in New York State.
