  • EMG integral calcualtion: filtered data or non-filtered?

    Dear all,
I have a question (probably easy) regarding EMG processing:
Should I first filter my rectified EMG signal and then caclulate the integral (area under the curve), or this should be done on raw data (rectified but non-filtered)?
    I appreciate your help,
    Sobhan

    Hi Sobhan,

I would say you should high pass filter or remove signal mean, then rectify, then low pass filter or integrate depending on what you're looking for.

    Hope that helps
    Dan
