Hi, I have read a book by David Winter (Biomechanics and motor control of Human Movement, 4th edition) and used the Appendices for the reference gait data for my report. However, I couldn't find any details about the number of subjects, their gender and their walking speeds. I don't know whether the appendix data is an average or taken for a single subject. If there was a single subject, was it a male or female and what was his/her walking speed? Can anyone guide me where to find these details? Thanks in advance!

Re: David Winter's Appendices
I don't have the book handy but he does give details on what you asked about in there somewhere. It's just one subject, a female, who was fairly small (57 kg or something like that). Not sure if the speed is listed but you should be able to calculate it knowing the sampling rate and marker positions (average horizontal displacement).
Good luck!
Ross
