    Fadiah,

I can not promise you that we can solve the problem by upgrading to the new version since we donĀ“t know what is wrong here, but I can assure you that a lot of things will be much more easier. Eg. capturing video files, connecting any camera of any resolution and frame rate ...

can you send me a screenshot of your control object properties to friedl@contemplas.com?

    Best regards,

    Kim

    Hi Fadiah,

maybe Motus has some problem with more cameras connected than digitized?
So make sure that you set up 3 cameras, captured 3 cameras and have calibration video files of 3 cameras.

With xyz-points, i mean the points of your calibration object. You type them in under the properties of the control object. Make sure that they are correct.

Maybe also your resolution or frame rate is too much for the old version of Motus. Note that there is a new version which is able to handle ANY frame rate and ANY resolution!

    Best regards,

    Kim

    Hi Kim,

Thank you very much for the reply. I have used 5 cameras but only 3 were use for digitizing. I do have calibration video files for every cameras and i already imported it into Motus. Can I know what do you mean by changing the DLT parameter and typing the correct xyz-point of the control object? Where can I change the parameter and define the xyz-point?

    Best regards,

    Fadiah,

    please tell me:
    - how many cameras do you use, which cameras do you use.
    - Did you really have calibration video files for every camera you use?
    - Try it with another DLT parameter
    - are the x/y/z-points of the control object typed in correct?
    - make sure that you click on the points in the right order in every calibration video file. It has to be the same order as they are defined in the object.

    Best regards,

    Kim

    Dear Kim Friedl,

Since last time we communicate, I've tried so many time to digitize my calibration frame but it still didn't work. The error still occured. I am using portable calibration frame with 25 known points with 8 rods protruding from the core of the structure. I don't know what went wrong. Can you please give me any suggestion and guideline how to overcome this problem? I am long way behind from my actual time frame that I suppose to achieve.

    dear Kim Friedl,

thank you very much for the suggestion. i have succeeded to view my video recording in motus. i've converted my video using movavi converter. but there is a problem when i digitized my calibration frame. it stated "DLT error, matrix factorization failed". do you know what is this? for your information, i am very new to this software. i only started using it during this research. can you please help me?

    Hi Fadiah!

M-jpeg is the most common codec. Try to use this.

    Best regards,
    Kim

    Hello Fadiah!

It must have something to do with the codec of the video file.
That error is an indication that the internal format of the AVI is not a format that allows direct access to the pixel buffer. If the codec were missing on the machine, the file would have failed to open so the issue is most likely either (a) the codec installed on the machine is not producing frames that have access to the pixel buffer but the internal video data is ok with a different codec or (b) the encoding of the video frames is such that it is incompatible with this type of processing
With an update to Motus 10 these problems could be solved, depending on the camera type you use. See here: http://www.motus10.com

    Best regards,

    Kim

    Dear all,

I am currently using MOTUS 9 to digitize video recording on squash. The videos were captured during open game in KL last March. while trying to digitize the calibration, a pop up appeared stated that: "Unable to retrieve image for processing. Please verify that this video clip is compatible with your current hardware and software configuration." what does that mean? can anyone suggest me the solution?
