  • MRI safe goniometer

Anyone have any idea or experience with an MRI safe(no metal) goniometer? Digital or otherwise? Some sort of ability to output a signal for data capture would be nice or just any insights on anything used, even the traditional clinical handheld models made without metal pieces?

    Thanks all!

    Re: MRI safe goniometer

    Hi Dustin,

While not quite a goniometer, my group has used a fiber optic rotary encoder from Micronor in conjunction with a leg brace. It would be an expensive solution (over $3,000 for the encoder and interface module) but it is definitely MR-compatible and has great resolution. Let me know if you want more information.
