I use the spring mass model with another model to study gait parameters.
With the exception of the trivial test case of hopping-in-place at the resonant frequency, I can't find a non-zero velocity test case based on physics for checking the spring mass model's results. It seems that the only thing I can do is compare the results from different implementations of the model, i.e. MATLAB, Mathcad and source code.
Does anyone know if there is a non-zero test case based on physics for confirming that the model is generating correct numbers?
Sincerely,
