I´d like to determine the optimal cut-off frequency (for a low-pass butterwoth filter) for my band-pass filtered (10-500Hz, Fs 1000Hz) and rectified surface EMG signals using Power Spectral Analysis to determine linear envelopes. In the literature it often is stated that fc was defined where 95% of the Power is retained. Could anyone share some Matlab code with for this procedure?

Notworthy is that I´m using EMG gait data (no isometric activations).

As I have read in the literature there are many things which alter the results using FFT (eg. window length, data length, DC component removal in each window, ...)
