force sensors for real-world objects e.g a box.

Hey guys, I am trying to identify a thin force sensor that would allow me to record the forces exerted on a box while lifting it up. I have seen many mounted force sensors on a manipulandum that allows grasping of the manipulandum. But has anyone used or know of any force sensors that can be donned on to real world objects like a box to record forces? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
