  • biomechanics lab dimension

    Dear all,
We will be building a new movement analysis laboratory and we are wondering which will be the ideal dimensions. Any suggestions on the layout and key features to consider are more than welcome.
I would be thankful if you can help us with this issue, if you wish you could also email me at e.papi@imperial.ac.uk
    Best regards,
    Enrica

    Re: biomechanics lab dimension

I can offer some great suggestions but my first statement would be what do you want to capture in this new lab? Stating that the lab should be 12m x 8m x 4m is easy but if the results are to look at track starting block and / or hurdling you may not have sufficient room for the subject to gain a meaningful speed for the event of the investigation. I can send images of a few labs: Or here is a video that shows a nice looking lab in the states that is very multi-purpose: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmGPjIHJfps and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgjnLW4plfY

Let me know how I can address your needs.
