  • EEG Data Collection

We are working on a small project that involves EEG sampling for muscle activity (this is for walking activities). Is there a clinically acceptable minimum sampling frequency for recording? Is there a specific length of recording that would give us enough data for analysis (vs. too much to analyze or large volumes of data)?

    Thank you,

    Maurissa D'Angelo

    Re: EEG Data Collection

EEG signals will have a much lower bandwidth than EMG signals so if you are sampling the EEG data at EMG sample rates you will be fine - note however that the EEG signals are generally much lower frequency than EMG data.
