Dear All,
We are working on ACL-reconstructed Athletes during rehabilitation. The duration between injury and surgery is less than 3 months for our participants and they almost follow the same exercises for the first 3 months of rehabilitation protocol, which become more specific for each individual after 3 months. We just want to focus on the first 3 months of rehabilitation and see the alterations in kinetic and kinematic gait variables through 3 tests (once a month) when they walking on the forceplate. One group of variables that we are going to assess is knee joint moments in sagittal plane. More specifically, We want to analyze the knee moments with respect to the Quadriceps avoidance.
I really appreciate if anyone can guide me to know the answer of following questions:
1. The most determinant knee joint moments in sagittal plane to assess the Quadriceps avoidance.
2. As the walking speed (mean gait velocity) are different between tests, how we can adjust the mean differences in knee joint moments to differences in walking speed. I should mention that we cannot use the walking speed as covariate since our data does not meet the required assumptions for ANCOVA.
I am looking forward hearing from you soon.
Thanks
