Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other studies reporting knee joint contact forces from instrumented knee replacements in humans during running/jogging? There are numerous studies that have reported these data for walking, but I've only found one that has included data for running:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24465856 [Bergmann et al. (2014) in PLoS ONE]
If I parsed the Bergmann et al. (2014) averaging scheme correctly, the peak compressive load was about 4.1x bodyweight during treadmill jogging at 1.67 m/s.
Thanks!
Ross
