  • Age related decline in "bouncing" legged patterns for mammals

    Hi users,

This is a more comparative biomechanics question. Can anyone direct me to papers/books that touches on when and why different locomotion patterns (e.g. galloping) decline first in mammals such as dogs/horses/cats/birds. And are there theories underpinning why some patterns disappear/decline first than others?

    Regards,
    Bernard
