  • Recording Force Platform Data in Matlab

I am planning to use a portable force platform (AMTI Accupower), which interfaces via USB, to record signals directly into matlab. The goal is to record data into matlab and use one of my processing scripts to expedite the process for recording to analysis so that the output metrics of the jump can be presented immediately after recording. Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions for where to start? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hey John,

I had used this third party package before to interface with AMTI force plates (we had Accugait):

You may be able use it for your application.

    Cheers

        Hi John,

The AMTI Accupower has an 8 channel analogue output, AMTI provide all the wiring details, so if you have a DAQ unit you can easily acquire signals that way.

          Hi Dan,

I don’t have a DAQ right now for analog acquisition, so I’m relying on the USB interface for now.
