Dear Biomech-L members,
I would like to share that version 2.400.3 of **ReportGenerator (RGen)** is now available for free download.
ReportGenerator is a software application for generating clinical gait analysis reports, originally developed by Motion Lab Systems (Mr. Edmund Cramp), processing C3D and GCD files from Vicon-based systems. Following the closure of the company, Mr. Cramp generously provided the C++ source code so that I could continue making corrections, improvements, and distributing new versions — always free of charge to the laboratories and professionals who use the software.

Please note that the software is still under testing, as indicated on the download page, and I would like to emphasize this point here as well: this version should be regarded as a work in progress, and users are encouraged to exercise appropriate caution and clinical judgment when using it.
I should also mention that my capacity to provide support is more limited than what Motion Lab Systems was able to offer in the past. That said, I will do my best to address specific, well-defined issues as they are reported. It would be extremely helpful — and I would be very grateful — if users could report any errors or unexpected behavior encountered in this new version.
I remain available for questions, suggestions, or feedback on your experience with the software.

As of August 18, 2026, the inclusion and distribution of the Gait Deviation Index (GDI) MS Excel spreadsheet within this non-commercial package has been authorized by its creator, Dr. Michael H. Schwartz.
We are deeply grateful for his continued generosity in allowing this material to be shared freely with the gait analysis community. This spreadsheet remains an essential resource for evaluating patient gait progress across clinical and research laboratories.
