The Bioengineering Group of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas
at Madrid, seeks
- One PhD student for research in the field of rehabilitation robotics.
The applicant will work within the HYPER project, designing exoskeletons
that can be beneficial for diverse rehabilitation practices. The candidate
must develop the following tasks:
1. Mechanic design and development of exoskeleton structures for
physical rehabilitation. This general goal includes the following tasks:
1.1. Design and simulation of mechanic components in CAD
environment.
1.2. Optimization of mechanisms compatible with human
movement in different applications.
2. Design and development of an experimental platform for validation of
partial actuation components integrated in exoskeletons. This goal includes
the following tasks:
2.1. Evaluation of actuation technologies for specific
rehabilitation applications.
2.2. Analysis of functional actuation requirements by means
of available biomechanical models.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in mechanical engineering and have
good background in systems theory, and algorithms, as well as programming
skills in C++, and Matlab.
