    Position Title: Rehabilitation Engineer
    Department: Rehabilitation Medicine

    Emory Universitys Center for Rehabilitation Medicine (CRM) is seeking a Research Engineer to join its team.


    The full-time, salaried Rehabilitation Engineer will provide support to CRM investigators in the development of research projects.


    , Supervises the design, fabrication, modification and installation of mechanical or electromechanical devices.

    , Fabricates or modifies mechanical or electronic devices to meet research needs.

    , Modifies computer software to meet research needs.

    , Provides technical assistance on problems relating to electrical, mechanical or electromechanical devices.

    , Interacts with manufacturers on the modification of equipment and implements approved changes.

    , Documents equipment maintenance, repairs and modifications.

    , Maintains information on the availability of components and equipment and on research devices.

    , Performs related responsibilities as required.


    , Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

    , Minimum Field Experience: 2 years

    , Knowledge in engineering technology generally acquired through the completion of a Bachelors Degree in: Mechanical, Computer Science, Biomedical, and/or Electrical Engineering.

    , Expertise in C++ programming is required. Experience with real-time systems will be highly regarded.

    , MATLAB and LabVIEW experience is desired.

    , Familiarity with machining and CAD software.

    , Skills in electronic circuits, control systems, data acquisition equipment, motion capture systems, and signal processing.

    , Ability to understand complex problems and to resolve these problems through the application of appropriate technologies.
