ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS
KEY PURPOSE
This senior appointee will provide leadership within the School; in particular he/she will lead the development of mechanical engineering to attain a strong teaching and research profile.
ORGANISATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
The School of Computer Science, Engineering & Mathematics is a dynamic and growing School. The School has embarked on an ambitious growth of its engineering awards that will see the University offering eleven engineering awards in 2011 including a full Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical). It is one of four Schools in the Faculty of Science & Engineering focussing on best practice teaching, research, research training and consulting in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics and Statistics. The School hosts one of the University's strategic research areas in Medical Devices & Technologies and has strong research activities in intelligent systems and other areas.
