Chair, Department of Physical Therapy

Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, invites applications for Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy. We are looking for a leader with a dynamic vision for physical therapy education and the profession who can build on the strengths of the past while exploring and embracing change for the future. The Department consists of 14 faculty committed to leadership in clinical doctoral education, clinical residency programs, service to the profession through academic excellence, and scholarship. The Department is an integral part of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions on a comprehensive health science campus. The faculty educates and mentors the professional development of future physical therapists, contributes to the evolving base of physical therapy knowledge, and serves the community by being "men and women for and with others." Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree, demonstrated expertise and commitment to academic leadership, a record of teaching and scholarly achievement, and be eligible for Nebraska physical therapy licensure for this full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position. Previous administrative experience is preferred. Leadership in developing extramural- funded scholarship and research in a program is desired. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Expressions of interest and applications will be treated in strict confidence.
