Tenure track position in Biomechanics
The School of Human Kinetics, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, invites applications for a tenure track position in the area of Biomechanics.

About the School
The School of Human Kinetics is a vibrant community with forty full time faculty members. The School offers a B.H.K., B.Sc., M.A., MHK, M.Sc. and PhD program in Human Kinetics. It also supports inter-disciplinary research, with strong links existing between Human Kinetics and a variety of other university programs including Psychology, Sociology, Political Studies, Population Health, Neuroscience, Physics, Biology and Rehabilitation Sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Ph.D. (or about to be completed) in Biomechanics or in a related field.
2. An active research dossier in biomechanics
3. Experience teaching in a university setting is an asset.
4. Multi-disciplinary background
5. Ability to teach in French is mandatory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, particularly in the areas of biomechanics.
2. Research and scholarly activity in biomechanics.
3. Supervision of students at the graduate level
4. Participation in academic activities
EFFECTIVE DATE: January 1st, 2012
RANK: Assistant Professor
SALARY: To be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and expertise, in accordance with the collective agreement. The position will be filled subject to availability of funds.
