    Postdoctoral position in human microneurography and motor control
    at the Department of Integrative Medical Biology
    Description of the project:
    A postdoctoral position is available under the supervision of Dr. Benoni Edin in the Department of Integrative Medical Biology (Physiology Section) at the University of Umea, in Sweden. The candidate will lead neurophysiological experiments recording from single muscle afferents in awake-behaving human subjects using the microneurography technique (see Dimitriou and Edin, Curr. Biol. 2010), which was pioneered at Umea University in the 1960s and 70s. In addition to ongoing experiments with well-developed protocols, the candidate will be given the freedom and resources to develop their own research program.
    Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate will possess a background in physiology, practical experience analyzing complex data and a proven track record of publications. A doctoral degree, not more than three years old, is required.
