The Kinesiology Program in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion at Arizona State University is accepting applications for the position of Instructor in Kinesiology, with primary responsibility for courses in the area of Biomechanics and other courses as assigned. This is a benefits-eligible, full-time position.
The Kinesiology Program at ASU is a dynamic degree program recently restructured to ensure a future pool of majors with only the strongest academic qualifications. Thus, our faculty is committed to rigorous standards and teaching techniques that are both innovative and grounded in educational principles.
Essential Duties:
• Teach undergraduate students in the area of biomechanics and functional anatomy. Teach introductory courses as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• M.S. degree or higher in Kinesiology (or a related discipline)
• A sub-disciplinary emphasis in Biomechanics with an ability to apply that knowledge within a clinical context (e.g., physical therapy)
• Demonstrated ability to successfully teach the following courses:
o Biomechanics
o Functional Anatomy
Desired Qualifications:
• A demonstrated ability to teach Electromyographic Kinesiology
• A demonstrated ability to teach introductory level kinesiology courses
• A demonstrated ability to incorporate both in-person and online teaching tools into your courses
