PhD Graduate Assistants x3 - with some teaching

Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2012 (in the first instance; extension dependent on successful transfer from MPhil to PhD)
Starting Salary: £13,314.50 per annum based on full-time salary of £26,629 per annum
The School of Human Sciences wishes to appoint three Graduate Teaching Assistants for September 2011. The part-time posts involve a range of teaching duties and also offer the opportunity to register for a PhD in one of the following areas (principal supervisors in parentheses after each title):
• Biomechanical and physiological monitoring of endurance running (Dr Stephen Patterson and Dr Neil Bezodis)
• Practical evaluations ofanaerobic capacity (Dr Mark Glaister)
• The biomechanics of rugby kicking (Dr Neil Bezodis)
You may nominate a different title which will be considered if the School has the necessary expertise to supervise a PhD in that area.
You will have, or expect to be awarded, a good degree (normally a First or Upper Second Class) and have proven expertise/interest in specific areas of the School's academic activities, in particular Sport Science, Strength and Conditioning Science, Sports Coaching Science.
